Program Information

The Hawai‘i Tourism Authority (HTA), the state’s tourism agency, in partnership with the International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA), is proud to offer its 7th Annual Festivals and Events Seminar. Anyone interested in planning, marketing, or organizing a festival or event is invited to participate and learn more about successful festival and event management.


The seminar will be offered as follows:
  • May 5, 2011 at the Hawai‘i Convention Center

  • May 6, 2011 at the Keauhou Beach Resort

Cost for early bird (ends April 29) registration is $59.99

Cost for regular registration is $69.99 

*Registration fee includes lunch, coffee and drinks during breaks, professional development sessions, and handouts from speakers.

This seminar is just one element of HTA’s technical assistance and capacity building support offered to any festival or event organizer in the state. In addition, HTA supports over 100 Hawai‘i festivals and events each year with more than $3.5 million in funding and its “Festivals of Hawai‘i” campaign provides advertising and publicity targeting post-arrival visitors and residents.
