Winston WelchExecutive Director Honolulu Gay & Lesbian Cultural Foundation (HGLCF)
Winston Welch is Executive Director of the Honolulu Gay & Lesbian Cultural Foundation (HGLCF), presenter of the Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival, one of the oldest LGBT film festivals in the world. This Festival is held each Memorial Day Weekend at the Honolulu Academy of Arts, Doris Duke Theat Mr. Welch has also been an Acting Executive Director of the World History Association, the largest academic organization of its kind in the promotion of World History. While in that position, one of his duties was planning and he oversaw the large annual convention. In both positions as Executive Director, he has worked with large Boards of Directors, Volunteer staff, professional specialists, and in-house staff in the production and planning of events. His educational background includes being awarded an M.B.A. from the Thunderbird American Graduate School of International Management. He is currently completing specialized professional Certification in Non-Profit Management and professional Certification in Events and Festival Planning. He has traveled extensively and is happy to be home in his beloved Hawaii.
