Valery O’Brien is a well-known and respected member of the retail, visitor, and resort industry due to her experience on O‘ahu and Hawai‘i Island. Presently she is the Marketing Director for Kamehameha Investment Corporation on O‘ahu and works for the Keauhou Resort on Hawai‘i Island. She resides in O‘ahu but commutes between the two islands. Besides serving as a past President of Aloha Festivals she is an Area Supervisor for Special Olympics and serves on the boards of the International Council of Shopping Centers,  Easter Seals of  Hawai‘i, Hawai‘i Island Hawai‘i Visitors and Convention Bureau, Girl Scouts of Hawai‘i, and Hawai‘i Services on Deafness. Ms. O’Brien belongs to the above mentioned organizations and Travel Women Hawai‘i, Kona Coffee Festival, Hawai‘i Visitors and Convention Bureau, Hotel, Hospitality Sales Marketing Association, and the Outdoor Circle of Kona.
